ABOUT TUSA DIVE
Tusa Dive are locally owned and have been taking divers and snorkellers to the reef since 1986. We pride ourselves on the professional service offered by our friendly team, our new custom designed dive vessels, and our large selection of stunning reef sites available for our guests to experience. As locals, we value our beautiful Great Barrier Reef and are committed to preserving it for our future generations.
Tusa Dive have access to 16 unique sites on the outer Great Barrier Reef. On your day trip to the reef, you will cruise to two selected outer reef locations and have the opportunity to participate in snorkelling, 'introductory' diving, and certified diving. Tusa Dive also offers a free guided snorkel tour and marine interpretation presentation.
Your day will be on board Cairns' newest reef craft the T5, custom-built for ultimate comfort and easy access to the water. Passenger numbers are limited to just 60 to ensure plenty of space, and the Tusa crew will make sure your day is fun, safe, and memorable. You can even take those memories home, as our on-board photographer is there to snap you through-out the day.
Tusa Dive also offer a 4 Day PADI Open Water Course and for those who have finished their pool and theory component of their scuba course, PADI referrals and SSI Universal referrals can be completed in just 2 day trips to the reef.
A day on the reef on board the Tusa 5 is also the perfect outing for your special occasion, conference or special interest group, and whole boat charters for up to 85 people are available. With lounge style seating, air-conditioned interiors, and plenty of alfresco deck areas, the T5 is also the perfect venue for evening charters on the calm waters of Trinity Inlet.
In 2002, Tusa Dive made use of their local diving knowledge and years of experience looking after certified divers, and launched their liveaboard vessel, the Spirit of Freedom. Spirit of Freedom offer 3 to 7 day itineraries to the remote northern Great Barrier Reef region of the Ribbons Reefs, and to Osprey reef in the Coral Sea.
Tusa Dive and Spirit of Freedom are both Advanced Ecotourism operators, committed to providing a service that reflects our responsibility to protect our environment, preserving the Great Barrier Reef for years to come.
