Medical Information
-
The Australian Government requires a Dive Medical to be completed
by a doctor familiar with dive practices and in compliance with
Australian standards AS4005.1 to be passed before you can begin
your Open Water training dives.
-
A Dive medical can be completed at The Cairns 24 Hour Medical
centre on the corner of Grafton and Florence Street. The medical
fee is AU$44.00.
(Please note: On the Tusa Dive 4 day Learn to Dive Course the
Diving Doctor will visit you at the facility on Day 1).
-
A dive medical can be done at any time and an appointment
is not necessary. Please note that a history of asthma,
diabetes or epilepsy may cause you to fail the dive medical.
