Tusa Dive Community Support
Tusa Dive encourages and supports a range of events and organisations which strengthen the community and improve the environment of our home port, Cairns in Tropical North Queensland.
We support the fundraising activities of non-profit organisations by donating Great Barrier Reef day tour travel vouchers, for use on our boat T6. Each voucher is valued at $200 and is for one (1) Adult (Snorkelling Only) and valid for six (6) months from the time of issue.
We also support school students and indigenous employment training programs offering work experience placements on our vessels and provide support to marine biology university graduates with collection of data towards thesis programs.
Activities / Events Tusa Dive Supports
We understand that fundraising is an important activity for many organisations, including sporting teams, schools and clubs and regret that Tusa Dive cannot always assist with every request for support. In line with our charter of operations, Tusa Dive considers applications from non-profit organisations with a focus on the following:
- Community Wellbeing with a focus on events and activities assisting the needs of the disadvantaged. Tusa Dive believes in a quality of life for all people.
- Environmental Conservation with a focus on the Great Barrier Reef and marine environment research, programs and initiatives to address current or potential environmental problems.
How to Apply for Community Support
If you feel your event and/or organisation fits with our community charter in either of the above areas (please indicate which), then we invite you to complete and submit the below form for our consideration. Alternatively, please download our ‘Application for Community Support’ form, complete it and return to Tusa Dive on the details provided.
Tusa Dive Travel Voucher Waiver
People using the travel vouchers will travel with Tusa Dive under our normal terms and conditions. Travel will be subject to availability. Advance bookings are essential. Each voucher is for one Adult (Snorkeling Only) and valid for six (6) months from the time of issue.
When will I hear back from Tusa Dive?
All requests for Community Support are carefully assessed by Tusa Dive: please allow up to three (3) weeks to receive a reply. If your enquiry is urgent or you have not received a reply within this timeframe, please contact Tusa Dive directly on email email@example.com or phone (07) 4047 9191
